Lincroft qualified for the ESAA national schools finals for the first time in 2000 in the Junior Boys event and have qualified ever since, winning the competition in 2005 at Leeds and 2007 at St Albans. Lincroft School hosts the annual Bedfordia cross event, which is one of the biggest inter school events in the country, with over 1100 competitors in this years event. Lincroft have also won the Beds&District cross country every year since 2000. Lincroft competes in the National Schools Fell running championships, the first 3 events were held at Sedbergh school. Lincroft's Year 7 boys won the team event. Lincroft has competed in the Chiltern cross country league, with many of its pupils representing Bedford & County AC. Lincroft also competes in the local schools cross country league and many local events. Rugby Union Read moreLincroft has a growing reputation for schools Rugby. It has teams ranging from U10-u13, with A,B&C teams in all most age groups. its fixture list includes fixtures with Bedford Modern, Bedford Prep School, Northampton Boys, Haberdashers, Warwick, Spratton Hall, Oakham and New Hall.
2010 was a particularly successful season, with the U11 team winning the County cup, the Rushmoor Cup and the Warwick 7s Tournament. The U12 team won the county cup and were runners-up in the Regional finals and the U13 team won the County cup and took part for the first time in the Rosslyn Park 7s. The 2011 season has seen the U10 team unbeaten, the U11 retained the Rushmoor Cup and the County cup, the U12 team win the County Festival and County Cup and the U13 team were runners-up in the County finals. So far, over 130 boys have represented the school at rugby this year. |
